PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to take action on application of the petitioner dated 20.12.2022 so as step up his basic pay at par with his junior, Ranbir Singh (No.911325343 ASI (GD) from the year of 1996 in the rank of Constable (GD) and also revise his pay on ACP and MACP and on his promotions in the rank of Head Constable, Assistant SubInspector and Sub-Inspector. The limited prayer sought for in the present Writ Petition is for a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's request wherein he has sought for stepping up his basic pay on par with his junior, Ranbir Singh (No.911325343) ASI (GD) from the year of 1996 in the rank of Constable (GD) and also to revise his pay on ACP and MACP and on his promotions in the rank of Head Constable, Assistant Sub-Inspector and Sub-Inspector.
2. Today when the matter was called, the learned counsel for the respondents produced the copy of the order of the DIGP, Group Centre, CRPF, Avadi, Chennai dated 30.05.2023 in which it is 2/4
stated that the petitioner's pay has been revised on par with his juniors Ranbir Singh and Puran Chandra Patra. As such, the grievance of the petitioner has been met and no effective orders can be passed. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands closed. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
