ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, to direct first and second respondents police not to harass the petitioner in the FIR No.413 of 2018 in Fairlands Police Station, Salem.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, Mr.V.Meganathan, learned Government Advocate (criminal side) appearing for the respondents would submit that on the complaint given by one krishnakumar, during the year 2018, a case in FIR No.413 of 2018 was registered by the second respondent against the petitioner for the offence under Sections 147, 148, 294(b), 323, 324 and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

506(ii) of IPC. After investigation, the respondents had filed the final report and it has been taken on file by the Judicial Magistrate Court No.V, Salem in C.C.No.746 of 2020. The Trial Court had issued summons and the respondents had attempted to serve the summons to the petitioner. He would further submit that the respondents are not harassing the petitioner.

3. At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the case stands posted for appearance of the petitioner before the Trial Court on 17.03.2022.

4. In view of the above, this Court directs the respondents not to harass the petitioner. It is made clear that the petitioner shall appear before the Trial Court in C.C.No.746 of 2020 on next hearing date i.e., on 17.03.2022.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
