ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the second respondent, to give police protection to the petitioner and his family members by considering the representations of the petitioner dated 16.09.2021 and 11.01.2022.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate would submit that based on the complaint given by the petitioner a case in Crime No.599 of 2018 was registered against the third respondent for the offences under Sections 341, 294(b), 323, 324 and 506(i) of IPC. He would further submit that the second respondent has completed the investigation and a final report has been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Chengam.

3. At this Juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the third respondent is still threatening the petitioner to withdraw the complaint.

4. In view of the above, a direction is issued to the second respondent to call upon the third respondent for an enquiry and take appropriate action based on the complaint given by the petitioner.
