Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, call for the records relating to the order passed by the 1st respondent Labour Court, Chennai in I.D.No.144/2007 dated 06.08.2012, quash the same, further direct the 2nd respondent to reinstate the petitioner into service with backwages, continuity of service and all attendant benefits. O R D E R

The petitioner is aggrieved against the order of the II Additional Labour Court, Chennai dated 06.08.2012 passed in I.D.No.144 of 2007, rejecting his claim for reinstatement and other benefits as well as compensation of Rs.1,50,000/-. Pending the writ petition, both the parties have amicably resolved the dispute among themselves, whereby the petitioner has agreed to receive Rs.2,00,000/- in full and final settlement of all dues and claims in connection with the dispute, which is the subject matter of the writ petition.

2. Mrs.D.Veda, learned counsel for the second respondent has handed over a Demand Draft bearing No.324071 dated 17.09.2021, drawn on Indian Bank, Nallambakkam Branch, for a sum of Rs.2,00,000/- to Ms.Divya, learned counsel representing Mr.V.Babu, learned counsel for the petitioner.

3. Mr.V.Babu, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner would not make any further claim in connection with the present dispute.

4. Recording the settlement arrived between the parties in the light of the aforesaid terms, this writ petition stands closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
