Plaint under Order IV Rule 1 of O.S.Rules 1956 R/W Order VII Rule 1 CPC., prays for judgment and decree, a) for recovery of a sum of Rs.1,00,00,000/- as damages as against the defendants 1 to 3 jointly and severally with future interest at 18% per annum from the date of filing of the suit and till date of realization for having published a defamatory article about the plaintiff. b) for a permanent injunction restraining the defendants, their men, agents, servants, person or persons claiming through them from publishing any article concerning the plaintiff, his family, his private life, private life of his family members, his business activities carried on by him lawfully, in " DINAMANI" Express Publications (Madurai) Ltd., a daily Newspaper printed and published by the defendants without ascertaining the truthness from the plaintiff and c) for the costs of the suit.

S.Vijayaraghavan JUDGEMENT When this matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel for the plaintiff as well as the learned counsel for the defendants submitted that this matter has been compromised between the parties. Pursuant to the same, they have filed a Joint Compromise Memo dated 25.10.2024 which has been duly signed by the parties.
2. The said Joint Compromise Memo is recorded.
3. In view of the same, the suit is decreed in terms of the Joint Compromise Memo entered between the parties and the same shall form part of the decree.
