O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to provide police protection to the petitioner and his family members, who are facing life threat at the hands of the respondents 3 to 5.

2. Heard both sides and perused the material available on record

Learned Government Advocate (crl.side) submitted that on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the second respondent has already registered an FIR against the accused persons for the offences under Sections 296(b), 118(1) and 351(3) of BNS, 2023. Notwithstanding this, the petitioner apprehends threats from the respondents 3 to 5 herein.

4. In view of the above, in case of any threat from the respondents 3 to 5, the petitioner is at liberty to lodge a complaint before the second respondent. On receipt of such a complaint, the second respondent is directed to deal with the same in accordance with law.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of in the above terms. No costs.
