Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records relating to the order passed in Order No.3135/JD/CSJ/PMR/20242025 dated 21.10.2024 on the file of the 4th Respondent, quash the same and direct the respondents to release the Life Convict Prisoner Sankar @ Jaisankar (Convict No.3135) S/o.Mani, lodged at 5th respondent prison, who undergoing the life imprisonment.

O R D E R

When the matter is taken up for hearing, it is represented by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the relief sought for in this petitions, viz., premature release of the accused, has become infructuous, as the petitioner has been prematurely released with effect from 11.07.2025 and he has also produced a copy of the proceedings dated 11.07.2025 before this Court to that effect. Therefore, he pleaded that the petition may be closed as infructuous. The said submission has been endorsed by the learned Public Prosecutor (Puducherry), who appears for the Union 2/4

Territory of Puducherry.

2. In view of the above submissions, we are of the view that nothing survives for further adjudication in the matter. Hence, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
