Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to take action on the petitioners' representation dated 06.01.2025 submitted with regard to survey the petitioner's land comprised in Survey No.549/1, for a total extent of acres 0.831⁄2 cents in and out of total extent of (Hectares 0-67.50) Ares or Acre 1.67 cents, vide Patta No.97, situated at Veerapandi Village, Coimbatore North Taluk and Coimbatore District, from one Mrs.Vasthala Devi and others through a valid registered sale deed dated 17.04.2009 in Document No.1332 of 2009 by meets and bounds and making proper sub-division.

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to act upon the representation made by the petitioners on 06.01.2025 wherein the petitioners sought for survey of the property and for demarcation of boundaries.

2. Heard Mr.V.Logeswaren, learned counsel for petitioners and Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondents.

3. The petitioners are claiming right over the subject property 2/4

through a registered sale deed dated 17.04.2009, which was registered as Document No.1332 of 2009. The further case of the petitioners is that the patta in Patta No.97 also stands in the names of the petitioners, who are shown as the joint patta holders. The petitioners wanted a survey to be conducted in the subject property and accordingly, they made a representation and paid the necessary charges on 06.01.2025. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the grievance expressed by the petitioners, there shall be a direction to the respondents 4 and 5 to act upon the application submitted by the petitioners and to conduct the survey based on the title document and patta that stands in the names of the petitioners and demarcate the boundaries. This process shall be completed by the fourth respondent within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
