O R D E R

The petitioners have filed the above Writ Petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to pass orders on the representation of the petitioners dated 24.04.2012 regarding sub-division and issue of patta in their names in respect of 56 cents of land in S.No.481/2, Thesavlakku South Village, Omalur Taluk within a time limit.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that though the petitioners have given the representation as early as on 24.04.2012, the 2nd respondent has not considered the same yet.

3.Mrs.K.Bhuvaneswari, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 submitted that the 2nd respondent may be directed to consider the petitioners' representation dated 24.04.2012 and dispose of the same in accordance with law.

4.Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioners, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioners' representation dated 24.04.2012 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners as well as to the respondents 3 and 4 within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
