The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 30.01.2024, registered for the offences under Sections 272,273,328 of I.P.C r/w Section 6,24(1) of Cigarette and other Tobacco Products Acts, 2003, Section 7,9(ii) of TN Prohibition of smoking and spitting Act 2003 and Section 77 of the Juvenile Justice ( Care and Protection of Children) Act 2016 in crime No.82 of 2024 seeks bail.

2. The learned Government Advocate stated that the petitioner has been detained under Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982. He has also produced the copy of the order passed by the Commissioner of Police vide detention order in No.128/BCDFGISSSV/2024 on 24.02.2024.

3. In view of the fact that the petitioner has been detained under Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
