Respondent Prayer : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to draw promotion panel of the year 2023-2024 for promotion to the post of Junior Engineer in compliance with Section 7 of the Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016 and thereby to promote the petitioners to the post of Junior Engineer with all consequential benefits. 1/4

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction directing the respondent to draw the promotion panel of the year 2023-2024 for promotion to the post of Junior Engineer in compliance with Section 7 of the Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Condition of Service) Act 2016.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent would submit that now preparation of panel for the year 2023-2024 for the post of Junior Engineer is in progress and the panel is about to be published.

3. In view of the above submission, the respondent is directed to draw the promotion panel for the year 2023-2024 for the promotion to the post of Junior Engineer, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
