O R D E R

It is the case of the petitioner that, he gave a complaint to the police on 18.01.2016 against some police personnel on which, no action was taken. Therefore, he filed Crl.O.P.No.1916 of 2016 for police protection, in which, this Court, by order dated 05.02.2016, issued the following directions :

"3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the representation given by the petitioner dated 18.01.2016 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law.

The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction."

Alleging non-compliance of the aforesaid directions, this Contempt Petition has been filed.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, Mrs.P.Kritika Kamal, learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that the police registered a regular F.I.R. in K-1 Sembium Police Station Crime No.1348 of 2016 on the complaint given by the petitioner and that case has also been transferred to the CB-CID for enquiry.

3. Thus, the complaint given by the petitioner has ended in F.I.R. and the investigation is also now with the CB-CID. If there is any further threat to the petitioner, it is always open to him to once again approach the police for protection.
