Respondents Prayer: Habeas Corpus Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Habeas Corpus to direct the respondents to produce the body of the detenue R.Sivakumar (male/aged 29 years) from the illegal custody of the respondents before this Court and set him at liberty.

[Order of the Court was made by M.VENUGOPAL, J.] This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed by the Petitioner to direct the Respondents to produce the body of the detenue R.Sivakumar from the illegal custody of the Respondents before this Court and to set him at liberty.
2.Heard the Learned counsel for the Petitioner as well as the Learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the Respondents 1 and 2.

3.Today, the Second Respondent/Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Dharmapuri has produced the detenue R.Sivakumar, Male, aged about 29 years. This Court has caused an enquiry with the detenue and he informed that from 28.03.2018 he is under the custody in Adiyaman Police Station near Nallampalli, Dharmapuri District and on the first day, he was enquired into by the police and made to sit in the police station for the rest of the days.
4.Considering the fact that the petitioner had studied upto IX Std and he is a major aged about 29 years and further he has been produced by the Second Respondent/Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Dharmapuri District, this Court permits the detenue R.Sivakumar to choose his further course of action against the concerned police for his illegal custody/detention at Adiyaman Police Station before the Competent Forum seeking necessary relief thereto, of course, in the manner known to law and in accordance with law.
5.With the above observations, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands disposed of.
