Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st to 5th respondents to cancel the patta No.1937 issued in favor of 6th respondent and issue patta in petitioner favor for petitioner land bearing Survey Number 642/5 to an extent of 1.14 cents which is situated at Polur Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District based on petitioner representation dated 10.01.2026.

ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 to 5 to cancel the patta bearing No.1937 issued in the name of the 6th respondent for the property morefully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition, based on the petitioner's representation, dated 10.01.2026.
2. The petitioner claims that illegally the 6th respondent has obtained a patta beairng No.1937 in his name for the property morefully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition. He seeks for cancellation of the same through his representation, dated 10.01.2026. Since the same Page No.2 of 6
was not considered by the official respondents till date, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.
3. Mr.S.Arumugam, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 5. Since no adverse order is passed against the 6th respondent in this writ petition, notice to the 6th respondent is dispensed with by this Court.
4. No prejudice would be caused to any of the respondents, if the petitioner's representation as stated supra is considered on merits and in accordance with, after hearing the objections of the 6th respondent or any other third party, whom the 3rd respondent deems it fit to enquire, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
5. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation.
6. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the 3rd respondent to pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law, on the Page No.3 of 6
petitioner's representation, dated 10.01.2026 seeking for cancellation of patta No.1937 standing in the name of the 6th respondent for the property morefully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents filed by the petitioner and after hearing the objections of the 6th respondent or any other third party, whom the 3rd respondent deems it fit to enquire, within a period of twelve
(12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. With the aforesaid direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
