Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to withdraw and replace the proposal of the construction of the memorial hall to Mr.Annal Thango and to restore the public park in its original condition by demolishing the commercial complex.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Acting Chief Justice) The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the third respondent to withdraw and replace the proposal of the construction of the memorial hall to Annal Thango and to restore the public park to its original condition by demolishing the commercial complex.
2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, Mr.A.Edwin Prabakar, learned State Government Pleader, submitted that pursuant to the sanction accorded by the government, vide G.O.(Ms.) No.168, dated 13.9.2023, to install the statue of Annal Thango at Nehru Park, Gudiyatham, the statue has already been installed in the earmarked place.
3. Recording the said submission made by learned State Government Pleader, the writ petition is disposed of leaving it open to the petitioner to approach the authorities concerned, if he has
any other grievance. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, W.M.P.No.4215 of 2024 is closed. (R.M.D., ACJ.) (M.S.Q., J.) 12.06.2024 Index :
