O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking direction to the first and second respondents to give adequate police protection to the petitioners and their family as against the 3rd to 9th respondents by considering the petitioners representation dated 10.02.2025.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are husband and wife and they are agricultural coolie. The respondents 3 to 9 who are politically influenced persons joined together and assaulted the petitioners and set fire on their house. Thereafter, the petitioners have constructed another house with their hard earned of money, but still the respondents 3 to 9 have threatened and forced them to run out of their village. Hence, the petitioners have made a representation before the first and second respondents to provide police protection to their family, but no action has been taken so far. Hence, the present petition.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the 2/5

respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and on getting instructions from the Investigating Officer submits that the petitioners as well as the respondents 3 to 9 are accused in several Crimes. That apart, there is also civil suit pending between them.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned the counsel for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made by both counsel, since the civil suit is pending between the parties, the representation submitted by the petitioners seeking police protection cannot be entertained.

6. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 26.02.2025 Vv To
