The petitioner has preferred this writ petition claiming separate electricity service connection.
2. According to the petitioner, she is one of the legal heirs of one Late Ranganathan who died on 18.06.2010. Her mother and brother were living separately in one portion of the house and she is living along with her son in another portion. Therefore, she has sought for a sub-meter to her portion. The respondent / Electricity Board vide Proceedings in f.vz;.br.bgh/,.ng/kapiy/rpVa{gp/nfh.jdp/vz.; 1140/15 dated 23.06.2015 asked for certain documents and no objection from the other owners. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Aggrieved over the same, she has approached this Court for providing separate electricity service connection.
3. Heard the submissions made on either side.

From the perusal of the records, it is noted that what was originally sought for by the petitioner is only a submeter to her portion, whereas in the writ petition, she has sought for separate electricity service connection to the rear portion of the house at Door No.351, Lloyds Road, Triplicane, Chennai - 600 005. If at all the petitioner wants to get a separate electricity service connection, she should comply with the requirements for the same. Therefore, liberty is granted to the petitioner to apply, for a separate electricity service connection, to the respondent / Electricity Board fulfilling all the requirements. On receipt of such application, the respondents are directed to consider the request of the petitioner and take appropriate action within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of such application from the petitioner.
5. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
