This writ petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to provide necessary police protection to the third respondent to conduct survey on the petitioner's land having an extent of 50 cents comprised in S.No.340/2, situated at Pattnam Village, Sulur Taluk, Coimbatore District, on the basis of petitioner's representation dated 11.11.2023.
2. Heard Mr.A.P.Sathya Murthy, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.A.Damodaran, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of respondents 1 to 3.
3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for respondents 1 to 3 submitted that the representation made by the petitioner is not available with the first respondent. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor further submitted that if fresh representation is made by the petitioner, the same will be enquired and a decision will be taken with regard to providing police protection.
4. Considering the submissions made by learned Additional Public 2/4
Prosecutor, there shall be a direction to the petitioner to give a fresh representation to the first respondent. The first respondent, on receipt of the same, shall conduct an enquiry by issuing notice to all the interested parties and shall take a decision within a period of four (4) weeks.
