A.No.743 of 2022 A.No.743 of 2022 SENTHILKUMAR RAMAMOORTHY,J The applicant seeks leave to institute the suit against proposed defendants 1 to 3, 5 to 14, 16 to 30, 33, 35 and 36 before this Court. The applicant states that the proposed suit is in respect of a movie in the Tamil language. It is further stated that the cause of action for the suit has arisen in Chennai since the movie is slated for release at Chennai.

2. Upon perusing the draft plaint and the affidavit in support of the application, it appears that the cause of action has arisen at least partly within the jurisdiction of this Court. Accordingly, A.No.743 of 2022 is allowed by granting leave to the applicant to institute the suit before this Court against the proposed defendants 1 to 3, 5 to 14, 16 to 30, 33, 35 and 36 . Consequently, the Registry is directed to number the suit, if it is otherwise in order.
