O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the second respondent to pass appropriate orders and provide free house site assignment in favour of the petitioner with respect to the subject property based on the recommendation that has already been made by the third respondent through proceedings dated 10.05.2023.

2. Heard Mr.D.Dayalan, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents.

3. The petitioner already approached this Court and filed W.P.No.6884 of 2019 for a direction to the respondents to provide free house site assignment. This writ petition was disposed of by an order dated 11.03.2019. After the order was passed, the third respondent, through proceedings dated 10.05.2023, recommended for grant of free house site to the petitioner. The matter is pending before the second 2/4

respondent and there was no progress. It is under these circumstances, the present writ petition came to be filed before this Court seeking for appropriate directions.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the recommendation that has already been made by the third respondent through proceedings dated 10.05.2023, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to pass appropriate orders within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
