ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) The petitioner is seeking directions to the first respondent, i.e., the District Collector, Villupuram District, and to the second respondent, i.e., the Revenue Divisional Officer, Vikravandi, to remove the encroachment in MANDAVELI-PORAMBOKE LAND measuring about 2.74 acres in Survey No.48/2 and encroachment in Survey No.223 and Survey No.225 at Siruvallikuppam Village, Vikravandi Taluk, Villupuram District.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner has admitted that one encroacher, i.e., Thiru Nagarajan, has already been evicted and as far as the remaining seven encroachers are concerned, steps are being taken by the authorities concerned.

3. The learned Government Advocate has handed over a letter dated 15.12.2018 from the Tahsildar, Vikravandi Taluk, Villupuram District, which states that he has sent a letter to the Block Development Officer, Vikravandi to fix the date for eviction of encroachment within ten days and send report with photo copies pertaining to entire eviction process, viz., before eviction, during eviction and after eviction.

4. Thus, it is seen that the authorities concerned are taking action as far as the encroachers are concerned and taking steps to evict them.
