ORDER

The writ petition is filed for the issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to issue patta in favour of the petitioner's association in respect of Survey No.306/3B8B to an extent of 2.50 acres at Varadharajapuram Village, Tambaram Taluk, Kancheepuram District.

2. The petitioner made a request for issuance of patta in pursuant to the registered sale deed dated 05.09.1974. Based upon the communication dated 29.7.2011 of respondent No.2,Revenue Inspector, Padappai sent his report dated 24.10.2011 stating that patta can be issued to the petitioner. However, despite the same, no such patta has been issued. Therefore, the petitioner has come forward with this petition.

3. It is unfortunate that despite the report having been given in the year 2011, the petitioner is yet to get patta. A duty is imposed upon respondent No.2 to take appropriate action within a reasonable https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

time which has not been done. Thus, a direction is given to respondent No.2 to pass orders towards issuance of the patta taking into consideration of the report filed by the revenue official.
