The petitioners, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 21(d), 21(h) of the Tamil Nadu Forest Act, 1882 read with Section 2(16), 9, 39, 50 and 51 of Wild Life (Protection) Act, 1972 in WLUDOR No. 5 of 2023, seek anticipatory bail.

2. It is stated that the accused No. 6 had been arrested and granted bail. The fifth accused is absconding. It is stated that from the accused, the respondent had recovered two heads of Deer and four legs and skin.

3. It is very obvious that the petitioners were involved in illegal hunt of animals in the Reserve Forest. I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners. Accordingly, this Petition stands dismissed.
