Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus to calling for the records from the second respondent in Cr.M.P.No.03/2022 dated 04.02.2022 by setting aside the said order of detention passed by the second respondent and setting the detenu Vinoth, S/o.Arumugam, aged 48 years, at liberty, now detained in the Central Prison, Trichy, under Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 detaining as Goonda. ORDER

(Made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.) The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in Cr.M.P.No.03/2022 dated 04.02.2022 detaining her husband as "Goonda", as contemplated under Section 2(f) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor reports that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.3036, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XV)

Department, dated 23.05.2022 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
