ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction to the respondent to consider the request made by the petitioner to revoke the order of suspension by the representation dated 09.10.2023. 1/4

The petitioner was working as Deputy Block Development Officer and on the complaint lodged by the defacto complainant, the Vigilance and Anti Corruption Department, Krishnagiri Wing registered FIR in crime No.3/AC/2023 for the offence under Section 7(a) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 alleging that the petitioner and others demanded a sum of Rs.30,000/- from the defacto complainant to issue Link Road certificate. In view of the registration of FIR, the petitioner was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 24.06.2023. Subsequently he was released on bail. However, the petitioner was deemed to be suspended from the date of his arrest by the proceedings dated 28.06.2023. So far, the petitioner was not served with any charge memo. The Vigilance and Anti Corruption Department also did not file any final report. Therefore, the petitioner submitted representation to revoke the order of suspension in view of GO.(Ms)No.66 dated 06.07.2022 and GO.(Ms)No.81 dated 08.04.2022. 3.

In view of the above, the respondent is directed to revisit the order of suspension in view of GO.(Ms)No.66 dated 06.07.2022 and 2/4

GO.(Ms)No.81 dated 08.04.2022 within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
