Prayer:-Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to grant patta as per the requests made through the respondent dated 01.08.2016 to the first respondent herein in respect of the land in T.S 28/Sub Division 1-10 in measuring about 1.15 acres formerly the Survey No.233 in Koyambedu Village, Aminjikarai Taluk, within the city of Chennai forthwith.

Mr.D.Suriyanarayanan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
2.The petitioner seeks for a mandamus to direct the respondents to grant patta as per her request dated 01.08.2016 to the first respondent herein in respect of the land in T.S 28/Sub Division 1-10 in measuring about 1.15 acres formerly the Survey No.233 in Koyambedu Village, Aminjikarai Taluk, within the city of Chennai forthwith.

The grievance of the petitioner before this Court is that her request for granting patta made as early as on 01.08.2016, has not been considered by the respondents so far. 5.This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the second respondent to consider and decide the same. Thus, this writ petition is disposed of, only with a direction to the second respondent to consider the request of the petitioner for grant of patta in respect of the subject matter property and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after giving due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as the rival claimants, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the second respondent within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
