Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to pass orders on the representation dated 04.12.2014 seeking consideration of the claim for promotion as Agriculture Officer in the vacancies earmarked for promotional post on merits and as per Rules and within a time.

The petitioners are presently working as Assistant Agricultural Officers. The next avenue of promotion is to the post of Agricultural Officer. According to the petitioners, they are eligible for promotion to the post of Agricultural Officer. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

However, there was no follow up action taken by the second respondent to consider their request for promotion.

2. The petitioners have submitted representation on 04.12.2014 requesting the second respondent to give them promotion. The present request is to direct the second respondent to consider the said request.

3. The second respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioners dated 04.12.2014 on merits and as per law. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
