respectives passed under the provisions of Tamil Nadu Industrial and Establishments (Conferment of Permanent Status to Workmen) Act, 1981 and consequently directing respondents 1 to 3 to absorb the petitioners in the first respondent Corporation as permanent employees based on the representation submitted by the petitioners dated 25.04.2016, 21.07.2016, 07.06.2016 and 18.04.2016 respectively with all consequential and other attendant benefits.

Pleader for R4 in all the W.Ps COMMON ORDER The petitioners, claiming to be the contract labourers, working with the TANGEDCO/respondents 1 to 3 for more than 15 years, have come forward to file these writ petitions, seeking absorption as permanent employees in the light of the order of the fourth respondent in Application No.E/4924/2001 dated 23.12.2002.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, learned counsel appearing for respondents 1 to 3 and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the fourth respondent.

3.Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners made representations on 25.04.2016, 21.07.2016, 07.06.2016 and 18.04.2016 respectively. Thus, according to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, pending representations will have to be considered.

4.Considering the above and without going into the merits of the case, a direction is issued to the first respondent to dispose of the representations aforesaid either by himself or by any other competent officer working under him within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioners are also directed to send copies of the abovesaid representations along with a copy of this order within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, the writ petitions stand disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
