Respondents PRAYER:- Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, 1950, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents to pass orders for restoration of seniority of the Petitioner in the post of Secondary Grade Teacher in Madanur Union/Parent Union, Tirupattur District and consequently allow the Petitioner to participate in the transfer counseling of Secondary Grade Teacher within the Union to be conducted on 28.02.2022, in consideration of representation submitted by the Petitioner dated 18.12.2020 and 28.01.2022, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

Heard Mr.G.Sankaran, Learned Counsel for the Petitioner and Mr. Stalin Abhimanyu, Learned Additional Government Pleader (Education) appearing for the Respondents and perused the materials placed on record, apart from the pleadings of the parties.

2. The Petitioner is working as Secondary Grade Teacher in Panchayat Primary School at Agaram which was situated in the erstwhile Vellore District. After bifurcation of Vellore Distract into Thirupattur and Ranipet Districts, the said school has fallen within the limits of Anaikattu Block. According to the Petitioner, options have been required to be submitted by the concerned teachers to choose the block in the re-organized Districts for their continuance in the services and the Petitioner made a representation dated 18.12.2020 to be posted within the Madhanur Block.

3. The grievance sought to be ventilated by the Petitioner in this Writ Petition is that without publishing the seniority list of eligible teachers for Madhanur Block, counselling is proposed to take place shortly and it may deprive posting as sought by him.

4. Learned Additional Government Pleader (Education) appearing for the Respondents, on instructions, states that the seniority list of Secondary Grade Teachers in Madhanur Block would be finalized within a week and informed to concerned teachers before conducting counselling in that block and the same is placed on record.

In the result, the Writ Petition is disposed on the aforesaid terms. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs.
