ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the respondent police to expedite the investigation in Crime No.344/2023 and file final report within a stipulated period of time.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner/defacto complainant submitted that though the case in Crime No.344/2023 was registered by respondent police on 29.11.2023 itself, against the accused persons for the offence under Sections 406 and 420 IPC, till date, the respondent police have not filed the charge sheet. Therefore, the petitioner is constrained to approach this Court for direction by way of filing this petition.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent police seeks some more time to file the final report.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and file the charge sheet within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4
5. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
