The prayer sought for herein is for a writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to dispose the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 18.11.2022 before the 1st respondent.

2. The petitioner has given an appeal dated 18.11.2022 to the 2nd respondent Revenue Divisional Officer against the patta issued in Patta No.158 at Konasamudaram Village, Sadayampalayam Post, Edappadi Taluk, Salem District and in order to consider the said appeal and decide the same on merits within a time frame, the petitioner has moved the present writ petition.

3. Heard Mr.A.Saravanan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.P.Muruganraja, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

4. The learned Government Advocate for the respondents would submit that the said appeal filed by the petitioner pending before the 2nd respondent would be considered and decided on merits within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

5. Considering the said submission made by the learned Government Advocate for the respondents, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to consider the said appeal filed before the 2nd respondent and decide the same 2/4

on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
