O R D E R
The writ petition has been filed in the nature of mandamus, seeking a direction against the 1st respondent namely the Secretary to Government, Department of Tamil Culture, Religious Endowments and Informations, Chennai to dispose of the Revision petition filed by the petitioner on 10.11.2012, which Revision 1/3
has been field against the order of the 2nd respondent namely the Commissioner of Hindu Religious and Charigable Endowments Administration Department, Chennai in R.C.No.216/49/83 dated 02.11.1983 within a particular time frame.
2. Heard Mr.J.Srinivasa Mohan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Karthikeyan, learned Special Government Pleader for R1 and R2.
3. The order had been passed by the 2nd respondent on 02.11.1983. As against the same, the petitioner has filed the Revision before the 1st respondent on 10.04.2012. It is complained by the learned counsel for the petitioner that no orders have been passed by the 1st respondent. It is seen that nearly 8 years have gone up.
4. In view of the above, a mandamus is issued to the 1st respondent, to examine the records and pass orders on the Revision on file dated 10.04.2012 in accordance with rules and procedures and in law and on or before 30.04.2020. I am deliberately not examining the facts of the case, since it is for the 1st respondent to obtain the facts of the case and thereafter pass appropriate orders .
5. With the above observation, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
