ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Acting Chief Justice) Alleging non-compliance of the order dated 5.9.2023 passed in W.P.No.1344 of 2018, the present contempt petition is filed.

2. Learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that, except in respect of four victims, the compensation amount was disbursed to the legal heirs of all other victims and that the order of this Court has been complied with. He would submit the legal heirs of the four victims are unable to produce documents and if the legal heirs of the aforesaid four victims come forward with relevant documents, upon verification, the authority concerned will disburse the compensation amount to them.

3. Thus, it is clear that, except four victims, the compensation amount, as directed by this Court, has been disbursed by the respondents to the families of the victims. As and when the legal

heirs of the four victims approach the respondent authorities with relevant documents, the same shall be verified and then compensation amount shall be disbursed to them.

4. We came to understand that a vehicle facility has not been provided to Justice Mr.V.Parthiban, Judge (Retd.), Madras High Court, appointed by this Court as One Man Commission to decide the compensation. If any such request for providing the vehicle is made by the One Man Commission, the same shall be attended to by the authority concerned and the vehicle shall be provided immediately.

5. The contempt petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
