ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction directing the respondents to disburse the balance amount by complying the directions issued by the first respondent dated 13.01.2020.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner was appointed in the second respondent office as Public Relation Officer. Subsequently, he attained superannuation on 31.05.2012. However, at the time of his retirement, he was not paid gratuity amount. Therefore, the petitioner approached the second respondent by way of representation and the same was not considered. Considering the order passed in the Public Interest Litigation, the second respondent disburse a sum of Rs.10,00,000/- out of Rs.16,82,084/-. It was calculated with interest for the gratuity amount. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation seeking balance interest amount of Rs.6,82,804/-.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the second respondent is directed to disburse the balance amount of interest, if any, to the petitioner within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of.

No costs.
