Respondents Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider the petition filed by the petitioner dated .4.2022 under Section 13(3) of the Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1969, read with Rule 9(3) of the Tamil Nadu Registration of Births and Deaths Rules, 2000, and pass appropriate orders within a time frame as may be fixed by this Honourable Court.

O R D E R

The writ petition has been filed in the nature of mandamus seeking a direction to against the first respondent to consider the representation given by the petitioner herein which had been filed under Section 13 (3) of the Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1969 read with Rule 9(3) of Tamil Nadu Registration of Births and Deaths Rules, 2000.

2. The petitioner has also paid necessary fees for processing the said representation. The representation relating to grant of legal heirship certificate for the father of the petitioner herein.

3. Learned Government counsel who had taken notice on behalf of the respondents stated that the application is under consideration of the first respondent/the Executive Magistrate/Revenue Divisional Officer.

4. A direction is given to the said official to adhere to the principles of natural justice by issuing notice to the petitioner if ever any clarification is required and also to any other person who are 2/4

required to be heard and thereafter pass considered orders on or before 30.04.2023.

5. The writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. No costs.
