The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records relating to the impugned order of the first respondent in G.O.(D) No.72, Transport (H.1) Department, dated 11.8.2010 and quash the same and direct the respondent to promote the petitioner to the post of Regional Deputy Director on par with his immediate junior. and grant him all consequential benefits.

Learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent would submit that the writ petitioner has filed review application before the first respondent on 22.10.2010. When the review application is pending before the first respondent, petitioner has filed the present writ petition before this Court challenging the impugned punishment order. When the writ petition is pending before this Court, the first respondent passed final order in G.O.(2D) No.23, Transport Department, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
dated 30.8.2012 in the review application and copy of the said order also has been produced before this Court. Therefore, the present writ petition has become infructuous.
2. In view of the above, Writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. However, it is open to the petitioner to challenge the final order passed by the first respondent in the review application.
