The prayer sought for herein is for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to initiate appropriate action on the representation of the petitioner dated 13.01.2023 and dispose the same. 1/4

In respect of the land at Survey No.479/2A situated at Karapattu Revenue Village, Chengam Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District, it is the claim of the petitioner that it has been purchased from one Karthikeyan by registered sale deed dated 26.11.1996 since then the petitioner had been cultivating the land and therefore he has been in enjoyment of the same.

When that being so, the said land initially stood in the name of the vendor of the petitioner has been included in a list of lands sent by the Tahsildar to the registered office as 'Panchamar Tharisu' . Therefore in order to remove the named survey number of the said land from the Panchamar Tharisu sent by the Tahsildar, the petitioner has given a representation on 13.01.2023 to the 1st respondent Revenue Divisional Officer and in order to consider the same and pass orders, the petitioner has moved the present writ petition with the aforestated prayer.
4. Heard Mr.N.Gokula Rao, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.N.Senthil Selvi, learned Government Advocate for the respondents.

The learned Government Advocate for the respondents would submit that the said representation given by the petitioner dated 13.01.2023 would be considered by the 1st respondent on merits and in accordance with law and orders would be passed thereon within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.
6. Considering the said submission made by the learned Government Advocate for the respondents, there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent Revenue Divisional Officer, Tiruvannamalai Division, Tiruvannamalai to consider the request of the petitioner dated 13.01.2023 and pass orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
