Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records of the respondents in connection with the impugned order passed by the third respondent in C.No.A2/05158/2014 R.O.No.338/2014 dated 21.10.2014 quash the same and further direct the respondents to refix the seniority of the petitioner in the 'C' List of HCs (AR) fit for promotion as SIs (AR) for the year 2014. This matter is coming up for consideration before this court since 15.10.2024. At no point of time, the learned counsel for the petitioner was ready to proceed with the matter. This court also observed on 16.12.2024 that no further adjournment will be granted. Inspite of the same also, the learned counsel for the petitioner is not ready.
2. When the matter was listed on 12.06.2025, the same was adjourned at the instance of the learned counsel for the petitioner. Thereafter, when the matter was
listed on 05.08.2025. There is no representation for the petitioner. Hence, the matter was directed to be listed under the caption "For Dismissal''.
3. Today, inspite of the matter being listed under the caption "For Dismissal', there is no representation for the petitioner either during the pre-lunch or post-lunch session. In the circumstances, this court is left with no other option except to dismiss the writ petition for non-prosecution.
