ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed directing the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner association, dated 09.08.2024. The prayer in the representation is to allot alternate accommodation to the members of the petitioner association.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, Mr.D.Veerasekaran, learned Standing Counsel, taking notice on behalf of the second respondent board, would submit that even as per the Writ Petition, there are 69 members for the petitioner association. That includes the Government quota members also. There were only 30 residents in respect of the said project and all of them are already evicted. Many of them have leased out the premises and 2/6

had not personally occupied.

3. In view of the above facts mentioned, it cannot be taken up on a general consideration. The aggrieved members can individually make a representation for re-allotment if they feel that they will be entitled to and that will be considered by the respondents. In view thereof, this Writ Petition, filed on behalf of the association, to take up the general prayer to grant re-allotment for all the members, cannot be countenanced.

4. Keeping it open for the individual members to make representation if they are entitled to under law, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
