PRAYER: Civil Revision Petition filled under Article 227 of Constitution of India to direct the Chairman / District Judge of Wakf Tribunal of Chennai to dispose of O.S.No.210 of 2019 within a time frame fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

This Civil Revision Petition is filed seeking a direction to the Chairman / District Judge, Wakf Tribunal, Chennai to dispose of O.S.No.210 of 2019 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 2/5

2. It is seen that earlier, the petitioner had filed C.R.P.No.4193 of 2024 before this Court seeking the very same relief. On 21.10.2024, since the Judicial Officer had not been appointed, the civil revision petition was withdrawn by the petitioner. This Court granted liberty to the petitioner to renew the request once the Judicial Officers are appointed.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that Judicial Officers have now been appointed.

It is seen that the issues had been framed as early as in the year 2020. Thereafter, several interlocutory applications had been filed and all of which had been disposed of.

5. Therefore, taking into consideration the fact that the suit has been filed in the year 2019, a direction is issued to the Chairman / District Judge, Wakf Tribunal, Chennai to dispose of O.S.No.210 of 3/5

2019 within a period of 8 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
