Respondents PRAYER : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records from the 2nd respondent pertaining to the notice dated 25.04.2016 for the 121st Executive Council meeting of the 2nd respondent University scheduled to be held on 05.05.2016, quash the same and consequently direct the 2nd respondent and its officials to hold the Executive Council meeting either after resumption of office by the regular Vice-Chancellor or after the appointment of new Vice-Chancellor and not to take any major policy decisions and from exercising any statutory powers without regular ViceChancellor. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the notice issued by the 2nd respondent for conducting 121st Executive Council meeting scheduled to be held on 05.05.2016.

2. Earlier, notice ordered to the respondents. Today, when the matter taken up for hearing, it is submitted that, already the Executive Council meeting was already conducted. Hence, the prayer sought by the petitioner has become infructuous.

3. Considering the fact that, already the 121st Executive Council meeting was convened and the proceedings were completed, no further adjudication is required with the present prayer. Hence, the present Writ Petition is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected Writ Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
