2. This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition has been filed, praying that this Court may be pleased to advance the hearing of the Habeas Corpus Petition in H.C.P.No.1439 of 2016.
3. The petitioner has stated that her husband has been detained under the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 terming him as a 'Goonda', as per the detention order, dated 27.6.2016.
4. It has been stated that the husband of the petitioner had severe chest pain and the jail authorities had taken him to the Government Hospital at Salem, for treatment. Thereafter, the Government Doctor had advised that the detenu ought to be given proper treatment, as an in-patient, in the said hospital. However, the jail authorities concerned have not given their consent to admit the detenu in the Government Hospital, Salem. 4. Having heard the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and having noted the averments made in the affidavit filed in support of the Criminal Miscellaneous Petition, we do not find sufficient cause or reason to advance the hearing the Habeas Corpus Petition in H.C.P.No.1439 of 2016. Hence, the Criminal Miscellaneous Petition stands dismissed. However, it goes without saying that it may be open to the petitioner to approach the appropriate authorities, for the appropriate relief, in the manner known to law.
