Ms.S.Ramya Revathy, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the respondents 2 and 3 to make sub-division of the petitioner's agricultural lands to an extent of 1 acre 25 cents, bearing Survey No.20/10 at Kallayee Village, 34 cents at Survey No.33/9B, Patta No.465 and also 8 cents at Survey No.36/3 at Sorathur Village and grant Patta in his favour, based on his representation dated 19.10.2017.

3. Heard both sides.

This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the respondents 2 and 3 to consider and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of, only by directing the respondents 2 & 3 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 19.10.2017 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner as well as the rival claimants and other interested parties, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the respondents 2 and 3, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
