ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for a mandamus to direct the respondents 1 to 5 to take appropriate steps on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 10.01.2011 and to remove the name of the petitioner from the history sheeter list on the file of the fifth respondent.
2. Heard Mr.Sankarasubbu, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.K.Bhuvaneswari, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.
3. Learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents has brought to the notice of this Court the instructions received by her from the Sub Inspector of Police, Pudupattinam informing her that the criminal case pending against the petitioner has ended in acquittal and therefore, the representation of the petitioner dated 10.01.2011 for removal of his name in the history sheeter list can be considered after giving due consideration to the acquittal orders passed in his favour.
4. Recording the submissions made by the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents, the respondents are directed to consider the representation dated 10.01.2011 given by the petitioner for removal of his name from the history sheeter list and pass final orders in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order. It is made clear that in the final order, the respondents shall give due consideration to the acquittal order passed in favour of the petitioner.
5. With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
