ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) This petition has been filed seeking following reliefs: "a writ of Mandamus forbearing the respondents 1 to 7 from in any manner considering grant of license for upcoming of J Square Cinemas, and Multiplex Cinema Theatre in favour of 8th respondent without first there being strict compliance of the statutory Rules and Regulations requirements as mandated under Tamil Nadu Combined Development and Building Rules, 2019 and the Regulations therein.
2. Statutory authorities/public authorities will act in accordance with law is the presumption. Filing a petition on an anticipation that the authorities will not act in accordance with law, in our considered view, is completely misconceived.
3. Petition is premature and accordingly, it is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the interim application is also dismissed.
