Respondents PRAYER: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent to pass orders on the representation of the petitioners dated 20.12.2013 and 27.03.2015 for regularization of their service with effect from the date of completion of 480 days of continuous service and payment of arrears of salary in time scale.

The prayer in the writ petition lies in a narrow compass. The petitioners are working as Fishermen in the Fish Feed Production Farm at Sathanur Dam. They are employees on daily wage basis. The second respondent namely Tamil Nadu Fisheries Development Corporation issued a proceedings in Na.Ka.7082/Pani-3/07, dated 09.04.2013, wherein, it is stated that recommendation is made for regularization of the services of the workmen/Fishermen on daily wage basis and the same is pending with the Government. In these circumstances, the petitioners made representation dated 27.3.2015 by RPAD to the first respondent Government seeking regularization of their services and the same is pending. Hence, the present writ petition.

2. Taking into consideration the recommendation made by the second respondent-Corporation to the Government for regularisation of the services of the workmen on daily wage basis, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the 1st respondent to dispose of the representation of the petitioners dated 20.12.2013 and 27.03.2015 within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of this order. No costs. Consequently the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
