ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences under Sections 420 IPC, in Crime No.1 of 2020, on the file of the respondent/Police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was granted interim bail till 09.04.2020 by the Sessions Court, Nilgiris, Udhagamandalam in Crl.M.P.No.239 of 2020 dated 24.03.2020 and thereafter, he shall surrender before the concerned Magistrate on 09.04.2020 without fail. Thereafter, he was unable to surrender before the Court. Hence, the petitioner has filed a petition to extend the time for surrender before the Judicial Magistrate Court, Udhagamandalam and the same was dismissed with a direction to the petitioner to surrender and obtain bail before the Judicial Magistrate, Udhagamandalam, The learned Judicial Magistrate, Udhagamandalam shall consider the bail application on merits on the very same day, uninfluenced by the above said observations. Hence, the present anticipatory bail application filed before this Court.

3. Heard the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, nothing survives in this petition. Therefore, this Criminal Original Petition is closed and time granted to the petitioners to comply with the conditions in Crl.M.P.No.239 of 2020 dated 24.03.2020 is further extended by a period of two weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
