Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Certiorari calling for the records of the proceedings of the first respondent made in GO(D) No.179, Industries (MMB-2) Department dated 03.10.2017 confirming the orders of the second respondent made in Rc.No.1017/MM9/2012 dated 29.01.2013 and the order of the third respondent dated 27.04.1998 made in Na.Ka.No.341/Minerals/96 and the consequential order of the fourth respondent made in Na.Ka.No.341/Minerals/1996 dated 28.03.2018 and quash the same.

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Certiorari calling for the records of the proceedings of the first respondent made in GO(D) No.179, Industries (MMB-2) Department dated 03.10.2017 confirming the orders of the second respondent made in Rc.No.1017/MM9/2012 dated 29.01.2013 and the order of the third respondent dated 27.04.1998 made in Na.Ka.No.341/Minerals/96 and the consequential order of the fourth respondent made in Na.Ka.No.341/Minerals/1996 dated 28.03.2018 and to quash the same.

2.It is represented by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that the penalty amount imposed with regard to the alleged illegal mining by the petitioner was already paid by the petitioner. Hence, no further adjudication is necessary in this writ petition. 3.Perusal of the counter affidavit filed on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2 also reveal that the petitioner has deposited the penalty amount of Rs.7,64,718/- in the Government account vide challan No.13 at State Bank of India, Tiruvannamalai on 11.10.2018 and produced the original challan before the fourth respondent. 4.In view of the above, this writ petition is closed. The respondents are directed to close the entire file as against the petitioner, without raising any claim in future. No costs.
