O R D E R

The prayer in the writ petition lies in a narrow compass. The petitioner seeks to direct the 2nd respondent to consider her representation dated 23.08.2013.

2. The petitioner is now working as Superintendent at the office of the Director General of Police, Chennai. On 11.11.1992, she made a representation to the 2nd respondent seeking to regularise her services from the date of her initial appointment as per G.O.Ms.No.2024 Revenue Department dated 15.05.1974. The Director General of Police sent a reply to the petitioner dated 22.06.1994

stating as under:- " The Government in their letter No.162889/Pol.V/922, Home Department, dated 22.12.93 have informed that the question of extending concessions enjoyed by the repatriates for the posts coming under the purview of Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission is still pending disposal by the Tamil Nadu Administrative Tribunal and informed to await further orders.

2. In the above circumstances, the petitioner Tmt.N.Hameeda is informed that her request to include her name in the "C" list of Junior Assistant fit for promotion as Assistant for the year cannot be considered now. However, she is informed to apply on receipt of Government orders in this regard. "

3. On 18.03.2013, the first respondent issued G.O.(Ms.)No.172 Home (Police-5) Department dated 18.03.2013 regularising the services of 4 Burma Repatriates, who were appointed as Junior Assistant under 10(a)(i) viz., E.Mathiyalagan, K.Raju, E.Lalith Prasad and G.Chandrasekar.

4. Now, the petitioner seeks the similar treatment given to her co-employees, who are governed by G.O.(Ms.).No.172 Home (Police-5) Department dated 18.03.2013. Thereafter, the petitioner made representation dated 23.08.2013 to the 2nd respondent seeking to extend the service benefit given to her co-employees by way of G.O.172, dated 18.03.2013.

Taking into consideration the aforesaid facts, the Writ Petition is disposed of permitting the petitioner to make a representation to the first respondent seeking to extend the same relief as that of her co-employees similarly situated as per G.O. (Ms).No.172 dated 18.03.2013 and the first respondent, is directed to dispose of the said representation within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the representation.
