J U D G M E N T

(Judgment of the Court was made by R.SUBRAMANIAN, J.) Heard Mr.T.Chandrasekaran, learned Special Government Pleader (CS) appearing for the appellant, Mr.N.Manokaran, learned counsel appearing for the land owners and Mr.Y.Bhuvanesh Kumar, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent.

2. These appeals are against the award in LAOP.No.44 of 2015, a reference made under Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act 1894. It is stated that as against the other LAOPs, which arose out of the same award, appeals were filed in this Court in A.S.Nos.423 to 425 and 429 to 434 of 2021. Those appeals were disposed of by us on 11.07.2023 granting a sum 2/4

of Rs,1,300/- per square feet along with all statutory benefits. It is not in dispute that these lands are also covered by the very same notification and are similarly placed.

3. In view of the same, all these appeals are partly allowed and the compensation is fixed at Rs.1,300/- per square feet. The claimants would be entitled to all attendant benefits available to them under the Land Acquisition Act 1894. No costs. In view of the disposal of the appeals, all the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.

4. The learned Government Pleader will get separate fees for each case.
